...I don't want to do it.

It's really that simple.

I help people and businesses use the power of storytelling to communicate better, do better and be better.

No one wants to just buy stuff. They want to save time, maximize their income, live a fuller lives.

Yes it's different. And yes, it matters.

My Story

I have always been a book lover and was a terrible asthmatic as a child so books were my best friends. When I was too ill for days or weeks to do anything but watch the world go by, books took places my little body couldn't go.

Drawn to storytelling, I still remember writing my very first play in second grade. Sister Michaelynn allowed me to put it on for the whole class. Even with that first triumph I really didn't realize a little brown girl from Toledo Ohio could write for a living. In college I put down the creative writing, but deployed my almost insatiable curiosity while pursuing a journalism degree from The Ohio State University.

It took one paid blog post to get me out of the corporate world and on my own as a freelancer and it's been an awesome ride.

I have written for a variety of websites, magazines and newspapers including MyBrownBaby.com, Columbus Parent Magazine and as a YA and children's book reviewer for CommonSenseMedia.org.

My work has garnered the attention of the New York Times, Disney.com and Jezebel.com and my company's digital marketing clients have landed media appearances for national outlets including Fox Business News, BET, CNN, Ebony Magazine, The Root and MSNBC.com.

I'm a problem solver compelled to amplify voices that often go unheard which is how I came to write Olivia's Potty Adventures - a #1 Amazon new release. Frustrated by the lack of diversity in storybooks for my daughter - particularly for ordinary childhood milestones - I started to write the book.

Whether it's digital marketing, writing books, or even my work as a plus model, my approach is the same - what is the story? Why should anyone care? What is the impact on people's lives? Then I passionately, methodically pursue the answers and share them with the world.
